POSITION SUMMARY
CVS Health Digital is looking for hands-on, passionate people who want to join a high energy and growing team to make a difference in customers’ lives and who want to be on the forefront of digital innovation that aims to reinvent what a pharmacy and a health care company can be in the digital world. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering who will be responsible for leading product initiatives, delivery, and optimization across all Specialty engagement channels, including Development, End to End Testing and adoption of AI enabled test automation and other QE engineering technologies . As a tenured QE technologist and people leader, you will use your skills to drive, support, manage and mentor QE managers, analysts, and automation engineers to ensure the highest quality application deliveries to production. Additionally, you will have overall QE ownership of medium to large initiatives spanning multiple teams and systems and collaborate with leaders/teams across the enterprise.
The Senior Manager – Software Development Engineering, helps Specialty QE teams streamline day‑to‑day test execution while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of QE lifecycle. The role is accountable for ensuring work meets quality expectations and is completed according to agreed standards, including serving as the primary approver of all quality initiatives. Apart from Engineering, this role partners closely with product and operations stakeholders, cross-tower technology teams to align priorities, prepare the team for planning and delivery cycles, and coordinate inputs across design, and data to deliver personalized, omni channel engagement experiences.
Expectations For The Role:
- Develops and leads a team of QE engineering professionals and contractor personnel
- Actively manages overall AI tools development, delivery for medium/large projects and initiatives; drives and supports enterprise end-to-end testing as required; assures quality, time to market, and ensures cost objectives are consistently achieved
- Leverages test automation, model-based testing, and other engineering approaches to ensure rapid time to market and efficient delivery
- Collaborates with Business, BA, Development, PMO, and other delivery stakeholders across the application portfolio
- Partners effectively with distributed cross functional and cross organization teams
- Define and track KPIs such as defect density, automation execution, AI adoption, cost savings and channel effectiveness to generate insights and drive iterative improvements
- Conducts performance reviews and works with the team members on their goal setting expectations, development plans and priorities
- Brings passion, energy and excitement to the team and organization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of managing a Engineering delivery organization within an enterprise software development domain
- 5+ years of experience working in Agile / SAFe environments, leading cross‑functional teams
- 5+ of advanced technical knowledge on QE industry tools (ex. Playwright, BDD Automation, Selenium etc.)
- Proven understanding of complex distributed system/application concepts to ensure delivery of enterprise initiatives involving multiple disparate systems
- Staff leadership and supervision experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive track record driving team-wide adoption of new QE technology and trends including BDD, TDD, AI enabled test automation and model-based testing
- Strong experience working with Rally or other Agile Software Development tools
- Ability to evaluate various automation testing tools and automation frameworks
- Ability to keep focused on long-term, strategic goals while executing against short-term objectives
- Extensive Pharmacy, Clinical Systems, or other Healthcare experience
- Engineering Center of Excellence (Tools and Processes)
- Cloud Testing Experience
- Proven experience as a change agent and driving shift to automation
- Experienced working with onshore and offshore colleagues\contractors
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
