Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manager - IT Manufacturing Site Leader located in Wilson, NC (5 days a week on site).

The Senior Manager, IT Manufacturing Site Leader is responsible for shaping and delivering end‑to‑end technology solutions that support manufacturing site operations. This role partners closely with site leadership and enterprise IT teams to align technology investments with business priorities, ensure reliable and secure plant systems, and drive value through standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The role is accountable for site IT strategy, IT investment management and operational excellence of plant IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, deployment, and ongoing support of manufacturing site technology solutions in alignment with segment and enterprise IT strategies.
  • Translate business priorities into a site‑level technology roadmap spanning short‑ and mid‑term horizons (0–5 years), ensuring alignment with segment product and business strategies.
  • Serve as the primary IT partner and single point of contact for site leadership and key business stakeholders, fostering strong collaboration between manufacturing, supply chain, and technology teams.
  • Own the prioritization, delivery, and lifecycle management of technology capabilities for the plant, balancing business value, cost, risk, and resource considerations.
  • Ensure local technology solutions are aligned to standard enterprise product categories, driving consistency, scalability, and optimization across the manufacturing network.
  • Develop and maintain site IT roadmap, help shape business case development and investment justification in partnership with business and finance stakeholders.
  • Drive speed‑to‑value through effective execution models, including Agile and iterative delivery practices where appropriate.
  • Establish and lead regular cadence of communications with site stakeholders to provide visibility into roadmap progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Partner with Technology Services and external vendors to ensure appropriate resourcing, delivery quality, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Accountable for site‑level IT financial management, including operating budgets, total cost of ownership, year‑over‑year cost optimization, and alignment with enterprise planning processes.
  • Identify and lead opportunities to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and cost effectiveness of plant technology solutions.
  • Own end‑to‑end operational performance of site technology, including incident management, root cause analysis, service level adherence, and continuous improvement of reliability metrics.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, risk management, and technology lifecycle management practices are embedded into site roadmaps, addressing technical debt and compliance requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a combination of internal team members and vendors to deliver consistent, high‑quality IT services at the manufacturing site.
  • Identify, promote and drive innovation opportunities

Qualifications & Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 10 years of related experience in IT required.
  • Proven experience leading technology delivery and support in a regulated manufacturing environment, operations, or industrial environment.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and executable plans.
  • Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders and influencing across multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated strength in financial management, including budgeting, cost optimization, and total cost of ownership.
  • Experience managing complexity, multiple concurrent initiatives, and competing priorities in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience in people management, including team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Experience with project management or Agile methodologies.

Preferred / Domain Experience

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or supply chain business processes and associated technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity, risk management, and technology lifecycle management concepts in operational environments.
  • Experience working with external vendors and global or enterprise IT service organizations.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems (MES, LIMS, Historian, PAT, OT)
  • Familiarity with AI concepts and technology innovation for business value creation.

Position may require up to 10% travel.
