*At a Glance*
Signify Health is transforming how care is delivered by bringing essential health services to Americans in their homes and enabling meaningful care outside of traditional settings. With a network of over 10,000 clinicians and more than 3 million In-home Health Evaluations (IHEs) delivered annually across every U.S. county, we’ve built trusted relationships with members that position us to broaden our impact.
As we expand beyond our core IHE service, Signify is building a suite of new in-home and virtual health services to better identify chronic conditions, close gaps in care, and increase access to preventive care.
We are growing our team and looking for a Senior Manager, Digital Product - RCM & Billing to lead the development, management and continuous improvement of our internal billing systems and tools for both our core IHE services and our suite of new in-home and virtual health services.
*About the Role*
This role strikes a balance between strategy, subject matter expertise, and execution. As Senior Manager, Digital Product - RCM & Billing, you will help lead the development, management, and continuous improvement of our internal billing system and tools - including the RCM and Finance Service applications. As Signify continues to grow to see more members and offer new types of services, the billing domain needs to also grow to support closing the loop on every encounter with accurate documentation as well as any client requirements.
You will lead and define the RCM and billing vision and strategy, conduct research and establish best practices, lead external and internal cross functional reviews, and execute a roadmap that balances both new feature development, modernization of infrastructure, and production support. Your work will directly shape near-term business results and lay the groundwork for long-term growth.
Responsibilities:
- *RCM & Billing Expertise:* You will conduct research and consult with external experts, internal stakeholders, and clients as appropriate to establish RCM and billing best practices and guidelines for new and existing services.
- *Strategic Prioritization & Stakeholder Diplomacy:* You will bring transparency to stakeholder environments by implementing visible, data-backed prioritization frameworks for billing products. This includes managing competing demands from diverse stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Client Success, Product peers) with executive presence.
- *Backend Modernization & Systems Architecture:* You will craft a vision to shift legacy systems toward a future model that is faster, more cost effective and transparent. You will modernize aging backend infrastructures while maintaining critical cash flows.
- *Cross Functional Influence & Upstream Accountability:* You will work across Coding, CDI and clinical teams to drive data quality improvements at the source rather than just managing downstream symptoms. You will influence other upstream product teams to ensure billing requirements are prioritized in their roadmap cycles and demonstrating a proven ability to hold cross-functional teams accountable for shared outcomes.
- *Financial Value Translation (ROI & Metrics):* You will connect KPIs (like Clean Claim Rates and Time to Bill) directly to business impact. You will translate backend improvements and database migrations into compelling business cases for leadership, focusing on liquidity, interest income and cash velocity.
- *Product Roadmap*: Support to define and maintain a 12-36 month roadmap of RCM & billing service enhancements that balances user needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, and production support.
*What We’re Looking For*
- 7+ years of experience in product development or product management within healthcare.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree at a minimum. Advanced degree preferred, particularly focused in business, finance, engineering and/or healthcare.
- You have a deep understanding of the RCM loop, including EDI 837/835 standards, ICD-10 mapping, and other billing standards.
- You have a proven track record of modernizing aging infrastructures while maintaining critical operations.
- You are an expert in optimizing APIs, SQL/Snowflake databases, and complex workflows to reduce manual touches and improve system performance.
- You have experience tracing downstream financial leakage or insurance rejections back to specific upstream data gaps or validation failures.
- Working knowledge with healthcare market dynamics, value-based care, and emerging models of care delivery.
- A passion for innovation and building new products that make a meaningful difference in healthcare.
- A strong mix of analytical and creative thinking, with the ability to frame problems, synthesize insights, and propose actionable solutions.
- Proficiency with product development concepts and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Lucid), agile methodologies, user journeys, and product documentation.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate insights into action.
- Comfortable analyzing data and leading discovery efforts to understand needs and validate opportunities.
- Comfortable conducting quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate feasibility, impact, and alignment with business objectives.
- Ability to distill complex information into clear business recommendations and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence teams across diverse stakeholder groups - including finance, operations, client success and clinical leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to create clear narratives and influence stakeholders.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Product Management.
This position is a remote position with some travel required.
