Position Summary...
What you'll do...
The Senior Manager will lead the implementation of business solutions by building strong stakeholder relationships, identifying business needs, and executing key processes and initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Middle Mile optimization along with strong technical capabilities. The position is based in Bentonville, Arkansas and reports to the Director of Inbound/Outbound Transportation. This is an on-site role and is not open to remote or hybrid candidates.
The team is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that optimize load planning across the middle mile network. It plays a critical role in driving business growth within outbound transportation by collaborating with multiple stakeholders to unlock optimization opportunities. In addition to managing optimization processes, the team focuses on automating workflows through AI-driven solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
Business Partnerships
- Consults with senior leadership business partners e.g. Sr Directors/Directors to understand overall goals/functional objectives decipher key business challenges identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success/criteria.
- Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business
- Contributes to business area strategic planning by providing input and actionable recommendations and solutions to senior leadership based on advanced research and analytical findings.
- Engages with Data Science, Product and Engineering for tools developments and assists with developing Business and Product requirement
AI Enablement
- Leads the adoption of AI frameworks to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Owns and maintains agentic solutions, with a forward-looking vision to continuously enhance capabilities using emerging technologies.
People Development
- Builds and leads a team to execute on business area or category objectives
- Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills knowledge and work performance
- Conducts performance and career development conversations if applicable
Model Development
- Develops data models algorithms approaches for complex projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value
- Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions
Proof of Concept and Prototype
- Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production ready complex algorithms for complex projects
- Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution
- Evaluates new data analysis techniques to support prototype development
- Collaborates with cross functional partners e.g. software engineering category management on prototypes and algorithms (SQL, Python)
Data Collection and Analysis
- Leads advanced analytics initiatives to solve complex business and technical challenges and enable data-driven decision-making.
- Provides strategic recommendations to cross-functional leadership based on analytical insights.
- Collaborates across all analytics functions to develop and implement data analysis strategies and anticipate future trends and analysis
Collaboration
- Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs developing and communicating business plans and priorities removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance providing resources identifying performance standards measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning
- Promotes and supports company policies procedures mission values and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction toothers in their use and application ensuring compliance with them and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy
- Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans programs and initiatives consulting with business partners managers coworkers or other key stakeholders soliciting evaluating and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
