As a senior Machine Learning Engineer at Lyft, you will join a dynamic team tackling diverse challenges across transportation, economics, forecasting, mapping, safety, personalization, and adaptive control. Your role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy machine learning models that enhance core services and products. Day-to-day responsibilities include data analysis, building proof-of-concept solutions, developing statistical and optimization models, writing production-quality code, and evaluating ML systems against business goals. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in machine learning, proficiency in Python or Golang, a strong background in quantitative fields, and expertise in methodologies such as supervised learning, forecasting, recommendation systems, reinforcement learning, and multi-armed bandits.
Partner with cross-functional teams to apply machine learning solutions for business and user impact.
Conduct data analysis and build proof-of-concept models to address new and existing problems.
Develop statistical and machine learning models using advanced methodologies.
Write high-quality code to deploy machine learning systems at scale.
Evaluate the performance of ML systems against predefined business goals.
What we're looking for
