As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, you will join the Solutions Architecture team to drive technical leadership in designing and implementing critical technology solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading architecture design for multi-platform systems, conducting trade-off analyses, and establishing long-term architectural roadmaps through Domain Destination Architectures (DDAs). You will also create guardrails and best practices for integrating emerging technologies like multi-agentic AI, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. The role requires expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. Ideal candidates possess a strong background in software engineering, network engineering, data engineering, and customer experience, along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Lead the design and implementation of multi-platform/cross-platform solutions.

What we're looking for
9+ years of experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, or Python.
5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect.
8+ years of experience architecting scalable and decoupled systems in regulated environments.
3+ years of experience working with internal and external business clients.
3+ years of experience engaging and driving initiatives with technology executives.
AWS or equivalent cloud certifications required.
Proven track record leading enterprise-scale technology, architecture, and software engineering activities.
