Senior Electrical Engineer - Projects

What you'll do

• Manage and oversee external design firms to ensure engineering designs meet project requirements.
• Support planning and execution of underground electric distribution projects including cable replacements and switchgear upgrades.
• Assist project managers with developing scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and resource plans for assigned projects.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and design intent.
• Conduct on-site field visits to verify existing conditions and support construction activities.
• Help prepare project documentation including drawings, specifications, bid packages, and as-built records.
• Assist with project risk identification and mitigation, including reliability assessments.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in electrical distribution systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Utility experience with high voltage electric distribution up to 15kV.
• Proficiency in design and installation of underground electrical infrastructure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for project management.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage external design firms.
• Proven problem-solving skills and risk mitigation expertise.
