We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science Center of Excellence for Customer Data and Identity at Walmart, where you will architect and develop advanced Machine Learning models to enhance customer intelligence and segmentation. Your daily responsibilities include building causal inferencing studies, statistical methodologies, and econometrics to study the significance of actions and behaviors, as well as directing data gathering and synthesis into large analytics datasets. You will also build custom machine learning algorithms for business solutions and scale them to handle large datasets. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of hands-on experience in deploying ML models, proficiency in Python and Java, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and Pytorch, as well as cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, and Azure. This role involves working on cutting-edge data-driven solutions to empower strategic decision-making across the organization.
Develop causal inferencing studies to analyze the statistical significance of customer actions and behaviors.
Direct data gathering processes, ensuring validity and synthesis for large analytics datasets supporting project goals.
Build and train machine learning algorithms that can be replicated across future projects.
Create custom models and algorithms to drive business solutions at scale using large datasets.
Deploy machine learning and deep learning models on production-grade cloud platforms.
What we're looking for
3-5 years of experience as a hands-on data scientist building and deploying ML solutions.
Expertise in machine learning models such as Logistic Regression, SVM, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, and Deep Neural Networks.
Proficiency in causal inference studies, statistical methodologies, and econometrics for action significance analysis.
Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.
Familiarity with cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
