As an Applied Machine Learning Engineer on Adobe's Fonts & Type team, you will design and deliver intelligent typographic features that simplify decisions and workflows for millions of users. Your day-to-day responsibilities include modeling complex layout and styling systems, building end-to-end training pipelines, debugging models, optimizing performance, and productionizing ML solutions into hybrid product architectures. You will work with Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and other frameworks to develop robust data pipelines and model serving infrastructure, ensuring reliable integration with client and server-side technologies. This role requires 5-8 years of experience in building and operating production ML systems, strong software engineering fundamentals, and a proven track record of ownership across the modeling lifecycle from data preparation to monitoring. Experience with generative approaches like diffusion models or reinforcement learning is a plus, as is familiarity with computer vision techniques.

What we're looking for
5-8 years of experience building and operating production ML systems.
Strong Python skills with hands-on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Ownership across the full modeling lifecycle from data to deployment.
Experience debugging models, tuning hyperparameters, and improving performance.
Expertise in building data pipelines and model serving infrastructure.
