You will leverage tools like MATLAB, JIRA, DOORS, MS Office, CATIA, and 3DX to manage Airworthiness plans and facilitate technical reviews across engineering disciplines. This role demands expertise in DoD Airworthiness Policy Directives and MIL-HDBK-516 series documents, as well as a strong background in manned or UAS developmental Military aircraft.

What you'll do

  • Develop and author Airworthiness certification and conformance plans for aircraft.
  • Perform technical airworthiness planning, tracking, and verification support in a digital environment.
  • Guide technical reviews with engineering disciplines across the total system design process.
  • Ensure logical realization of customer airworthiness certification objectives throughout product lifecycle.
  • Support all processes leading to successful issuance of Military Flight Release (MFR).
  • Develop and maintain Airworthiness activities in a digital environment interconnected with system requirements.
  • Proactively support design development towards Airworthiness compliance and facilitate technical interchange meetings.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of airworthiness engineering experience.
  • Experience with DoD and FAA Airworthiness processes and documents.
  • Ability to develop and manage Airworthiness plans and criteria tracking.
  • Strong communication skills for technical subjects and interpersonal relations.
  • Experience working on manned or UAS developmental military aircraft.
  • Top Secret security clearance required.
