Security Engineer III

What you'll do

• Design and develop security solutions to resolve complex technical issues.
• Improve security protocols and conduct control effectiveness assessments.
• Write high-quality production code in Java and Spring Boot.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
• Collaborate on defining, designing, and delivering new security capabilities.
• Validate AI-assisted recommendations before implementation in security practices.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with hands-on experience building cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and implement enterprise security solutions from requirements through delivery.
• Strong software design fundamentals including SOLID principles and common design patterns.
• Advanced understanding of public cloud architecture and experience developing and operating software solutions in cloud environments.
• Experience debugging complex distributed systems and identifying root causes across services.
• Proficiency in the software development life cycle, including testing, release, and operational support.
