As a Data Engineering - Data & Analytics contractor at See’s Candies, you will support the enterprise analytics platform by building and maintaining data pipelines and data lake infrastructure within Azure. Working closely with analysts, your responsibilities include designing and implementing data ingestion processes using Azure Data Factory, managing ELT routines to extract, load, and transform data into Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and providing Databricks and ML platform support for advanced analytics use cases. You will also ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through end-to-end testing and validation while maintaining platform stability and performance. The role requires a solid understanding of Azure analytics components such as Data Lake Storage, Synapse/SQL Data Warehouse, and Power BI Services, along with experience in business data warehouse architectures and analytical development across multiple technologies. What you'll do
Build and manage Data Lake ingestion and staging using Azure Data Factory.
Design and implement lifecycle processes for effective data provisioning in Azure.
Implement ELT routines to extract, load, and transform data into SQL Data Warehouse.
Provide Databricks and ML platform support for advanced analytics use cases.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data through end-to-end testing.
Diagnose and fix complex issues across the data and analytics stack for performance.
Support data analysts by ensuring reliable data pipelines and backend engineering.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or equivalent experience.
Solid knowledge of Azure analytics components including Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL, Synapse/SQL Data Warehouse, Analysis Services, ML, and Power BI.
4+ years’ experience in business data warehouse and analytics/Bi architectures across multiple technologies.
2+ years’ hands-on experience with Azure analytics components for end-to-end analytical development.
Experience supporting data pipelines, preparation, and workflows for machine learning or AI-driven analytics initiatives.
Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and manage change efficiently.
