Join Pinterest's tvScientific team as a QA Engineer for the Web Platform, where you will ensure reliability and security of our web platform and APIs through manual testing excellence and automation. Knowledge of HTTP, REST principles, JavaScript, and Agile methodologies is essential, with additional benefits from familiarity with React, performance testing, and observability tools.

What you'll do

Own and drive quality for web platform features across UI, APIs, and backend services.
Design and execute manual test cases for complex web and API workflows.
Validate frontend-backend integration, data consistency, and error handling through testing.
Build automated test suites and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test failures to investigate root causes and drive issues to resolution.
Advocate for quality best practices including shift-left testing and risk-based testing.

What we're looking for

Strong expertise in web and API testing with manual and automation skills.
Experience designing and executing test cases for complex web applications.
Proficiency in building automated test suites using tools like Playwright or Cypress.
Solid understanding of HTTP, REST principles, and API design.
Degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
