SAP Principal Architect, Transportation Management

What you'll do

• Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of SAP S/4 TM solutions across Amgen’s manufacturing and distribution sites.
• Partner with business leads to develop IT roadmaps aligned with business outcomes and digital strategy.
• Serve as solution owner for SAP transportation management within the global ERP architecture team.
• Drive continuous improvements in IT effectiveness through collaboration with business partners.
• Ensure compliance with GxP requirements by creating necessary design documents and supporting validation/QA teams.
• Manage implementation vendors to ensure project scope, SLAs, and critical metrics are met.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of SAP Transportation Management experience with multiple end-to-end S/4 TM implementations.
• Deep understanding of SAP supply chain processes and master data management in TM.
• Hands-on expertise in OTR/DTR processes, freight execution, tendering, and cost distribution.
• Strong knowledge of inbound/outbound shipments, transportation load builder, and freight settlement.
• Experience integrating SAP TM with other modules like SD, MM, FI, EM, GTS, EHS, and EWM.
• Proficient in integrating SAP TM with Logistics Business Network (LBN) and GTT for carrier onboarding and settings.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technology solutions in business terms and drive innovation.
