Principal Data and Asset Management Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and lead design of enterprise-scale CMDB and asset management systems.
• Own data architecture and integration strategy for asset and configuration data across platforms.
• Design and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and normalizing asset data.
• Establish and enforce strict data quality standards to ensure CMDB accuracy and trustworthiness.
• Build reliable APIs and data services enabling large-scale querying and management of asset data.
• Develop automation for asset lifecycle management, dependency tracking, and impact analysis.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on designing and maintaining complex systems.
• Deep expertise in building data-intensive backend systems, including ETL pipelines and production APIs.
• Strong hands-on skills in Python or Go for developing data pipelines, automation, and services.
• Extensive experience with CMDBs, asset inventory systems, and large-scale metadata platforms.
• Proven ability to implement data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring in production environments.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, containerized deployments, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases for designing scalable data models.
