Network Engineer, Principal Specialist, Onsite Tucson, AZ

What you'll do

• Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks.
• Develops technical expertise in network hardware and software interconnection.
• Proposes solutions to management for future communication requirements.
• Prepares or creates necessary network documentation including operational instructions.
• Assists with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment.
• Designs network architectures considering hierarchical structure and geographical limitations.
• Works with program engineers to resolve networking issues in tactical environments.

What we're looking for

• Active US Secret Security Clearance required
• Minimum 5 years of relevant network engineering experience
• Experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
• Knowledge of SolarWinds, client server environments, and government networks
• Ability to maintain and document network infrastructure effectively
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours as needed
• Preferred certifications: Security+, CCNA
