We are seeking a senior software engineer with expertise in machine vision to join our team developing guidance systems for large air vehicles. In this role, you will implement advanced image processing algorithms using both traditional and cutting-edge machine learning techniques, integrate camera calibration code, and develop sensor fusion algorithms that combine data from various sensors including IMUs. You will write high-quality Python and C++ code, optimize software performance, and debug issues in real-time flight conditions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in computer science or related fields with extensive experience in production software development, camera systems, and pose estimation. Familiarity with aviation concepts, airgapped environments, and safety-critical software practices such as DO-178c is highly desirable.

What you'll do

Develop and refine real-time image processing algorithms for vehicle guidance systems.
Write, test, and maintain high-quality code in Python and C++ for sensor integration.
Optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability for various flight conditions.
Process and evaluate images from live tests to improve system accuracy and efficiency.
Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware issues to ensure operational readiness.

What we're looking for

BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
4+ years of experience writing production software in C or C++.
Direct experience with camera systems, calibration, and pose estimation.
Experience working with IMUs and implementing state fusion algorithms.
Top Secret security clearance required.
