We are seeking a senior software engineer with expertise in machine vision to join our team developing guidance systems for large air vehicles. You will write high-quality Python and C++ code, optimize software performance, and debug issues in real-time flight conditions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in computer science or related fields with extensive experience in production software development, camera systems, and pose estimation. Familiarity with aviation concepts, airgapped environments, and safety-critical software practices such as DO-178c is highly desirable.

What you'll do

  • Develop and refine real-time image processing algorithms for vehicle guidance systems.
  • Write, test, and maintain high-quality code in Python and C++ for sensor integration.
  • Optimize software performance, reliability, and scalability for various flight conditions.
  • Process and evaluate images from live tests to improve system accuracy and efficiency.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware issues to ensure operational readiness.

What we're looking for

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience writing production software in C or C++.
  • Direct experience with camera systems, calibration, and pose estimation.
  • Experience working with IMUs and implementing state fusion algorithms.
  • Top Secret security clearance required.
