Machine Learning Engineer, Lyft Business

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy ML models for dynamic pricing, marketplace optimization, fraud detection, and behavior analysis in production.
• Build agentic AI systems using LLMs to automate decision-making processes and reduce operational costs.
• Design feature pipelines and model training workflows for scalable ML solutions across multiple business domains.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to transition research prototypes into large-scale production-ready models.
• Evaluate ML system performance against key business metrics, conduct experiments, and continuously improve models.
• Identify new opportunities for ML applications in Lyft Business verticals like Healthcare, Lyft Pass, and Business Travel.

What we're looking for

• Experience with GenAI/LLM ecosystems including prompt engineering and agent frameworks
• Track record of independently identifying and scoping ML projects in pricing, marketplace optimization, or fraud detection
• Familiarity with cloud ML services like AWS SageMaker or internal ML platforms
• Ability to design and implement feature pipelines and model training workflows for production environments
• Experience building agentic AI systems that automate decision-making processes
• Strong collaboration skills with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Software Engineers
• Proficiency in evaluating ML system performance against business KPIs and driving continuous improvement
