Leidos seeks a Lead DevSecOps Software Developer for its Air Traffic Business Area within the Homeland Sector, focusing on the development of the Leidos Common Baseline, a mission-critical automation solution. This role involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, integrating security controls, and implementing infrastructure-as-code to support scalable environments. The candidate will develop reusable frameworks and automate security testing using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform. They must have 4+ years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree with 2+ years, proficiency in Python or Bash, and knowledge of federal security standards such as NIST RMF. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance, offering an opportunity to work on projects impacting national air traffic operations.
Design and maintain a Common Automation Platform for CI/CD, security, and infrastructure automation.
Develop reusable automation frameworks and pipelines to standardize DevSecOps practices across the enterprise.
Integrate platform capabilities with internal and external systems using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Implement automated security testing including SAST, DAST, container, and dependency scanning.
Apply AI/ML capabilities to enhance automation in pipeline optimization and anomaly detection.
Ensure compliance with federal security standards and organizational policies throughout development processes.
Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes for scalable environments.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of relevant DevSecOps experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with IaC tools like Terraform and security practices including vulnerability scanning and secrets management
Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance and work on government programs
