Integrated Power Systems Labs & Advanced Technology Experienced Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy power electronics models for shipboard propulsion components using SIMULINK.
• Conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing to validate control software on the Control Software Test Bed.
• Assist in the design, build, and test of electric drive propulsion components for unmanned vessels like LSV-2.
• Provide remote or on-site support for troubleshooting and tuning electric propulsion systems with Navy customers.
• Participate in the development of experimental motor drives through SIMULINK modeling and scaled demonstrator testing.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering discipline required.
• At least 5 years of post-graduate engineering experience necessary.
• Experience with SIMULINK for modeling power electronics and motor controllers preferred.
• Familiarity with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platforms like Speedgoat, DSpace, or Concurrent Real-Time desired.
• Knowledge of hardware description languages such as VHDL beneficial.
