This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, physical dexterity for lifting heavy hardware units, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.

What you'll do

  • Maintain and support IBM processors, storage, and semiconductor hardware.
  • Perform physical installation of new hardware including racking, stacking, and cabling.
  • Un-rack and pack old hardware while managing associated cabling tasks.
  • Adhere to and learn lab safety procedures in a raised floor environment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical engineering issues related to hardware maintenance.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with physical computer hardware installation
  • Ability to troubleshoot and use workstation problem/change tools
  • Basic knowledge in electrical engineering sciences (Electrical Safety, Electron Theory, etc.)
  • Proficiency in racking, stacking, and cabling new hardware
  • Capacity for team lifting large hardware units in a fast-paced environment
