What you'll do

  • Own the long-term vision and strategy for Stripe's User Risk / Supportability function.
  • Define and execute a multi-year supportability strategy that balances user experience with risk exposure.
  • Develop and integrate financial partner Restricted/Prohibited Business Lists into Stripe's policy framework.
  • Lead new product enablement, embedding risk standards early in the product development lifecycle.
  • Drive Platform Risk Strategy to manage large user requests and complex use cases effectively.
  • Provide strategic direction for Enforcement & Monitoring Strategy (EMS) teams globally.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in risk strategy, policy, compliance, or financial services regulation.
  • Proven track record of owning and evolving complex policy frameworks at scale within payments or fintech.
  • Demonstrated ability to build systems, frameworks, and teams that operate effectively across large organizations.
  • Experience leading through multiple layers of an organization with 4+ years in people management.
  • Champion for AI and automation in risk strategy work, setting examples for team adoption.
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, including trust-building with Legal, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Operations.
