Role Details

As a Silicon Prototype Engineer in Apple's GPU Design Verification and Validation organization, you'll ensure our complex GPU designs and software meet Apple's quality standards through comprehensive hardware/software platform testing. Working with the complete software stack, you'll validate designs that enable flawless execution of demanding graphics workloads. Your technical contributions will include: - Developing verification environments using SystemVerilog, C++, and scripting languages to validate GPU functional behavior, performance, and power characteristics - Running development graphics driver and test applications on development hardware systems, triaging failures to their respective teams - Building automated systems for GPU model deployment and testing on hardware platforms - Creating and driving detailed verification plans in collaboration with multi-functional teams - Working closely with power and performance validation teams to optimize designs - Leading debug efforts for issues discovered in both pre-silicon and post-silicon phases This role offers significant growth opportunities as you advance within the team and take on increasing technical leadership responsibilities. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field Coursework or experience in computer architecture Coursework or experience in SystemVerilog and C/C++ Coursework or experience with scripting Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field Experience scripting for system automation Ability to collaborate under tight schedules Excellent planning, collaboration, and communication abilities
