What you'll do

Define and influence the direction of a small team in path planning and route optimization.
Prototype and deploy advanced algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination.
Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems, including mission planning tools and autonomous tasking services.
Design robust planners and decision-making systems for safe, feasible routes in dynamic environments.
Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques to validate planner behavior across scenarios.
Customize algorithms and software for mission-critical use cases like collaborative autonomy and obstacle avoidance.
Integrate path planning technologies into the broader command and control software stack from requirements through testing.

What we're looking for

Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab for software development.
Expertise in path planning techniques including graph-based search and sampling-based planners.
Experience in guidance, navigation, control (GNC), trajectory optimization, and predictive models.
Strong understanding of applied mathematics, linear algebra, optimization, and computational geometry.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, kinematic constraints, and control theory for autonomous platforms.
Familiarity with map representations, terrain reasoning, and handling large-scale geospatial data.
Background in machine learning applications to planning and decision-making systems.
