The Global Head of Index Build Technology Portfolio is a senior leadership role at S&P Dow Jones Indices, responsible for reimagining and rebuilding the technology platform that powers index creation, calculation, and rebalancing. The ideal candidate has over 15 years of software engineering experience, including at least seven in senior leadership roles, with expertise in cloud architecture on AWS or GCP, distributed systems, and SRE principles. They will work closely with product and business teams to understand client needs and translate them into a concrete technical roadmap, ensuring the platform is scalable, automated, and resilient for global expansion.

What we're looking for
Over 15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.
Proven track record leading complex platform modernization and automation initiatives from concept to completion.
Deep expertise in designing and operating low-latency, high-throughput distributed systems.
Strong command of cloud architecture on AWS or Google Cloud Platform with hands-on experience in Kubernetes, serverless functions, and streaming data platforms.
Exceptional ability to craft a compelling vision and inspire teams while fostering engineering excellence and innovation.
Outstanding communication skills for engaging both technical teams and executive-level stakeholders.
