As a Distinguished Engineer in the Card Core Accounts and Transactions team within Card Technology, you will lead the architectural transformation of critical systems from legacy to modern technology stacks. Your daily responsibilities include defining technical strategies, architecting secure and scalable platforms, designing high-throughput services, enhancing observability frameworks, and providing leadership to development teams. You will leverage your extensive experience in developing large-scale distributed systems and cloud computing expertise to drive platform innovation and foster cross-functional collaboration across the organization. The role requires a deep understanding of Java, Python, or Go, and you must be adept at ensuring best-in-class security, performance, maintainability, and usability for customer-facing applications.
Define and drive the technical strategy and roadmap for Credit Card Core systems.

What we're looking for
At least 5 years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
Over 10 years of professional coding experience in Java, Python, or Go.
Proven leadership in driving platform strategy and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Extensive experience in cloud computing with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
Expertise in architecting highly secure and scalable systems for millions of concurrent requests.
Strong background in designing observability and monitoring frameworks for rapid issue resolution.
