Join our team as a senior DevOps Cloud Engineer at GDIT, where you will work closely with software development teams to provide enterprise system support on the AWS platform. Your responsibilities include delivering cloud engineering capabilities and training others in Java application integration, CI/CD pipelines, and DEVOPS practices. You will use JavaScript, Vue, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, Python, Node.js, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Postgres, MySQL, Maven, Gradle, Git, and Docker to build and maintain high-visibility cloud-based IT systems. Additionally, you will evaluate cloud strategies, create functional design specifications, and support development in or transition to the cloud. This role requires extensive experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, and GOTS Nitro, along with a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

What you'll do

Design and deploy cloud-based IT systems using AWS services.
Manage and debug cloud deployments throughout the development lifecycle.
Identify and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Evaluate cloud strategies and program architecture for enterprise systems.
Provide technical expertise on cloud cluster computing techniques and technologies.

What we're looking for

Extensive experience with cloud engineering and CI/CD pipelines on AWS.
Proficiency in front-end technologies including JavaScript, Vue, TypeScript, CSS, HTML.
Expertise in back-end technologies such as Microservices, REST, Node.js, Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
Experience evaluating cloud strategies, designing virtual private clouds, and deploying EC2 instances.
Strong skills in managing cloud deployments, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing geographically redundant services.
