Data Science Manager, Mapping

What you'll do

• Lead a team of data scientists to improve mapping accuracy and navigation efficiency.
• Define and execute the data science strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance on complex real-time decision-making problems.
• Champion data-driven decision-making by partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct deep analyses to identify opportunities for improving product health.
• Ensure robust methodologies are used to measure new feature impacts.
• Mentor team members, guiding their professional and technical development.

What we're looking for

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative field like Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related area
• 5+ years hands-on experience in experimentation, causal inference, data science with real-time systems or marketplace dynamics
• 2+ years management experience building, leading, and mentoring data science teams
• Strong expertise in statistics, experimental design, and causal inference including A/B testing and multivariate testing
• Experience presenting insights and recommendations to senior leaders with strong data storytelling skills
• Hands-on experience launching and monitoring consumer-facing products through data-driven experimentation and metrics analysis
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
