What you'll do

  • Own budget for assigned product set and territory to meet quarterly objectives.
  • Develop and execute a territory business plan to generate new pipeline and grow opportunities.
  • Maintain deep awareness of install base, competitive landscape, and market dynamics across client set.
  • Achieve and maintain Level 3 minimum product expertise across IBM's Data Platform offerings.
  • Articulate IBM Data Platform offerings in the context of value for specific enterprise personas.
  • Generate value assessments and align with clients on measurable use cases tied to the watsonx.data portfolio.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales with a focus on data platforms
  • Proven ability to close complex multi-product transactions and meet quota targets
  • Experience selling into mid-market and enterprise accounts across various industries
  • Strong engagement skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned Southeast territory
  • Deep expertise in IBM's watsonx.data suite and Confluent solutions
  • Familiarity with competitive platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Informatica
