As a Data Engineer/Sr. Data Engineer at the IMF’s IT Department in the Data Platforms Division, you will support the Corporate Data team by enhancing and maintaining the enterprise data platform, focusing on Azure cloud infrastructure and data warehousing solutions. Your daily tasks include managing Azure resources, designing and running ETL/ELT workflows for batch and real-time data ingestion, optimizing storage and compute performance, and implementing DevOps practices with CI/CD pipelines. You will also enable self-service analytics by developing semantic models and governed BI usage, ensuring compliance with data governance standards using tools like Collibra and Purview. This role requires expertise in Azure cloud administration, data pipeline engineering, and strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Oracle PL/SQL, and CI/CD practices. Ideal candidates should have 5 to 6 years of experience in Azure cloud and data engineering roles, with hands-on experience in advanced architectures like Medallion or Semantic Layer–First.
