As a Cybersecurity Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for securing and monitoring cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud, ensuring compliance with DoD Cloud SRG requirements and CMMC authorizations. Your day-to-day tasks include system hardening, patching, vulnerability management, and translating stakeholder security needs into technical solutions. You will work on automating security events, implementing zero-trust architecture, and enhancing centralized logging and web application firewalls to protect critical systems. Ideal candidates have experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting, as well as a Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification. This role offers the chance to secure one of the largest software factories in the Department of Defense using cutting-edge cloud technologies.

What you'll do
Develop and implement cloud-based security architectures for critical DoD systems.
Assess and mitigate vulnerabilities in cloud infrastructure to ensure compliance with ATO and SRG requirements.
Translate stakeholder cybersecurity requirements into actionable technical specifications.
Monitor and maintain the security posture of cloud environments through continuous system hardening and patching.
Automate security event responses and implement zero-trust architecture principles.
Collaborate on achieving CMMC authorizations for DoD projects.
What we're looking for
Experience securing cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS GovCloud.
Knowledge of DoD Cloud SRG requirements, CMMC authorizations, and ATO processes.
Proficiency in centralized logging, boundary defense, web app firewalls, RBAC, and vulnerability scanning.
Hold a Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
