As a Cyber Security Apprentice at IBM’s Security Operations Center in Jersey City, you will work closely with various teams to monitor and audit client systems for potential cyber threats. Your daily tasks include tracking network/system anomalies, conducting vulnerability assessments, and performing manual configuration reviews. You will also investigate security incidents, maintain the security system infrastructure, and stay updated on emerging trends and vulnerabilities. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in operating systems like Windows and Linux, as well as networking fundamentals and scripting languages such as Perl, PHP, or Python. Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and have an understanding of security programs and compliance requirements.
