As a Cloud Solutions Architect at GDIT, you will serve as a strategic technical leader responsible for crafting winning cloud solution architectures for federal opportunities. You will need a strong understanding of AWS services like Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AI/ML capabilities, along with knowledge of DevSecOps principles and federal compliance standards including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP. This role requires extensive experience in cloud-native architectures and proposal support for government clients, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

What you'll do

Translate mission requirements into winning cloud solution architectures for federal proposals.
Develop technical proposal artifacts like architecture diagrams and compliance matrices tailored to specific agency needs.
Lead cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, comprehensive, and innovative solutions for pursuits.
Advise internal teams on cloud strategy, modernization pathways, and cost-optimized approaches that resonate with government evaluators.
Validate technical feasibility of proposed architectures by collaborating with engineering and governance teams.

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions with a focus on AWS services and technical strategy.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps principles, and federal compliance standards (NIST, FedRAMP).
Proven ability to contribute to government proposals by authoring technical volumes and supporting orals.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate required; Professional certification preferred.
US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
