As a Boundary Security Engineer at Booz Allen, you will join a specialized team to design and implement secure network solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD), focusing on boundary security capabilities. Your daily tasks include collaborating with subject matter experts and customers to understand strategic goals and operational needs, planning and supporting the acquisition and installation of network components, and resolving interoperability issues across platforms. You will also test new security features in a lab environment before deploying them into production, provide remote support for network firewalls and security appliances, and ensure compliance with DoD IT and cloud security policies such as STIGs and Cloud SRG. This role requires expertise in firewall design, device hardening, intrusion detection systems, SIEM, and vulnerability assessment, along with experience in Palo Alto and Cisco or Juniper firewalls.

What you'll do

What we're looking for
4+ years of experience with network security and IT system design for large enterprises or government agencies.
Expertise in firewall and enterprise security design, including device hardening and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Cisco/Juniper firewalls.
Active Secret clearance required.
HS diploma or GED necessary; ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 90 days post-hire.
