As a Backend .NET Engineer at our engineering group, you will join a team responsible for developing critical applications in the Managed Enterprise Services suite and other business-critical initiatives. This role requires strong proficiency in .NET technologies, experience with REST APIs and relational databases, and a solid understanding of specification-driven development practices.

What you'll do

  • Author and refine OpenSpec artifacts for backend services, ensuring clear specifications.
  • Design and implement REST APIs using C# and ASP.NET Core with SQL and Entity Framework.
  • Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
  • Write automated tests and integrate through CI/CD pipelines for cloud deployment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help mature the team’s specification-driven development practice.

What we're looking for

  • 5-7 years of professional backend software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET stack, including ASP.NET Core Web API.
  • Experience designing REST APIs and working with SQL databases and Entity Framework Core.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, version control (Git), and cloud platforms.
  • Comfortable with spec-first workflows and AI-native development tools like OpenSpec.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective team mentoring and support.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and provide thoughtful code feedback.
