The role requires expertise in Azure APIM or similar platforms, REST/HTTP protocols, and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is essential, along with experience using GenAI dev tooling for API development.

What you'll do

Engineer and operate the enterprise API Management platform including self-hosted gateways and CI/CD integration.
Design and standardize secure-by-default patterns for API security, traffic management, and governance.
Partner with application teams to onboard APIs following OAuth2, mTLS, JWT standards and rate limiting practices.
Build automation for API onboarding, certificate rotation, and operational tasks within the platform.
Serve as a Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) managing APIM platform admin tasks including upgrades and incident resolution.

What we're looking for

Strong experience with API Management platforms (Azure APIM preferred).
Deep knowledge of REST, HTTP, OAuth2/OIDC, TLS, and API security models.
Experience in CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
Expertise in operating hybrid/on-prem environments and managing deployments in Kubernetes/OpenShift.
Skilled in API monitoring and diagnostics with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
7 years of relevant work experience in API management or related field.
