As the Aircraft Painter on our dedicated team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various spray painting equipment to apply primer, finish, and protective coatings to aircraft parts and subassemblies. Your daily tasks include mixing paints according to precise specifications, preparing surfaces by cleaning and masking them, and adjusting painting equipment to achieve optimal results. You will also work on intricate details such as laying out for and spraying interior compartments of major assemblies. This role requires a strong understanding of spray painting techniques, the ability to read engineering drawings and process specifications, and proficiency with decimals, fractions, and proportions. Ideal candidates have at least one year of production spray painting experience in either aircraft or auto body work, along with expertise in commercial or military aircraft painting.

What you'll do

  • Mix paints to specified proportions and consistency for application.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including masking areas as needed.
  • Lay out and mask parts before spraying all types of primer and finish coatings.
  • Adjust spray equipment settings to control pattern, density, and splatter during application.
  • Spray paint crew compartments, passenger stowage areas, wheel wells, and other interior surfaces.

What we're looking for

  • At least one year of production spray painting experience, either in aircraft or auto body.
  • Ability to operate and adjust spray painting equipment for optimal performance.
  • Proficiency in mixing paints according to specified proportions and consistency requirements.
