AI Search Architect - AI, Search & Knowledge Platforms

What you'll do

• Develop LLM-based question answering and personal content search to enhance user experiences.
• Integrate Apple's ecosystem with advanced RL algorithms for generative model post-training.
• Evangelize and execute the AI technology vision and strategy across multiple features.
• Improve quality of LLM-based models by developing synthetic/human data pipelines.
• Collaborate with foundation modeling, design, product teams to deliver end-user experiences.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of R&D experience in search, natural language processing, and Conversational AI
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science with a focus on machine learning and reinforcement learning
• Deep expertise in information retrieval, NLP, and reinforcement learning-based post-training
• Experience with LLM models, reward modeling, RLHF, RLAIF, Chain-of-thought, and agentic AI
• Strong product intuition and ownership mindset
