AI & Data Security Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and implement security architecture for AI use cases with role-based access controls.
• Ensure compliance of AI data usage with Apple’s data classification standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement row-level security policies based on user identity across Snowflake and other data systems.
• Lead adversarial testing to identify vulnerabilities in AI systems and drive remediation efforts.
• Define and enforce data access boundaries for AI agents and LLM-powered chat applications.
• Develop and enforce US-wide AI data security standards and developer guidelines at scale.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of professional experience in data security, cybersecurity, or related fields with a focus on security architecture and data engineering.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and implementing RBAC, row-level, and column-level security policies in modern cloud data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks/DBX.
• Strong expertise in API security controls, including authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and JWT.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Go for scripting, automation, and building security controls within data pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience translating regulatory requirements into technical governance and access controls.
• Experience implementing security logging, audit trails, and monitoring solutions to detect unauthorized access or data exfiltration attempts.
