About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Management Consultant that

will provide strategic leadership, governance, and hands-on delivery oversight for the team’s Microsoft Power Platform environment. The consultant will be accountable for ensuring Power Platform solutions are designed, governed, and operated in alignment with enterprise standards, risk and compliance expectations, and data management best practices—while also enabling the team to deliver high value business solutions using the platform.

Wells Fargo has embarked on a multiyear transformation journey aimed at building a centralized capability to store, manage and analyze Financial Crimes Compliance Operations (FCO) data to fulfill the Bank’s BSA / AML regulatory, compliance and risk commitments. Ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data solution development, BSA/AML, operations, and technology to develop key data assets associated with the transformation effort.

The Customer Reference Data Solutions team delivers to our stakeholders curated data solutions, which are valuable, understandable, and trustworthy (among other attributes) to our stakeholders, the Operations and Risk analytics communities. These products directly support their ability to leverage Wells Fargo data assets for insight generation.  Success in this role will enable faster delivery of the program’s objectives, which include standing up data products to drive our regulatory, compliance, and risk commitments.

In this role, you will:

Power Platform Governance & Oversight

  • Serve as the Power Platform governance lead for the team, establishing and maintaining standards for: environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), solution packaging and deployment, access controls, documenting solutions, and shepherding solutions through the appropriate governance processes.
  • Ensure Power Platform usage aligns with enterprise risk, compliance, and data governance requirements.
  • Partner with technology, risk, and compliance teams to review and approve Power Platform designs and implementations.
  • Define and maintain documentation, controls, and evidencing related to Power Platform solutions.

Platform Leadership & Strategy

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and related governance capabilities
  • Provide strategic guidance on when and how Power Platform should be used versus other enterprise technologies
  • Influence platform roadmap decisions based on business demand, risk posture, and scalability considerations
  • Establish reusable patterns, templates, and best practices to accelerate delivery while reducing risk

Solution Design & Build Enablement

  • Lead or advise on the design and build of Power Platform solutions, particularly complex or high-risk use cases
  • Review solution designs for data quality, security, scalability, and maintainability
  • Support development of:
  • Model driven and canvas apps
  • Automated workflows
  • Reporting and analytics solutions
  • Ensure proper lifecycle management, testing, and production support models are in place

Team Enablement & Advisory

  • Coach and mentor team members and partners on proper Power Platform usage and governance expectations
  • Serve as a point of escalation for Power Platform design, governance, or control issues
  • Partner with product, data management, and analytics leaders to align Power Platform solutions to business outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of risk and/or compliance domain experience applied to financial services firms or vendors

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data management, analytics, or technology delivery roles
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse)
  • Experience establishing or operating withintechnology or data governance frameworks
  • Strong understanding of risk, controls, and compliance expectations in a regulated environment
  • Ability to influence and lead across teams without direct authority
  • Experience governing low code / citizen development platforms at enterprise scale
  • Familiarity with data management concepts such as data quality, lineage, access controls, and metadata
  • Experience working with enterprise risk, compliance, or audit partners
  • Ability to translate technical platform concepts into clear guidance for business and leadership audiences
  • Experience with BSA/AML and financial crimes concepts, especially related to CIP, KYC, CDD, or EDD processes a plus
