The Opportunity
Adobe is seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Engineering to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Growth Apps for Customer Experience Services (CES). In this high-impact role, you'll shape and scale the next generation of enterprise-grade AI applications by defining how our customers interact with intelligence-driven interfaces and workflows.

What you will do
CES Growth Apps are Adobe’s scaled growth engine—turning customer experience intelligence, AI, and orchestration into repeatable systems that drive adoption, retention, and expansion at enterprise scale. They are a critical bridge between Adobe’s AI‑first product innovation and sustained customer and revenue outcomes.
Customer Experience Services (CES) Growth Apps represent the growth execution layer between Core platforms (Adobe Experience Platform, GenAI services, orchestration layers), Product‑led capabilities (Experience Cloud, GenStudio, AI‑driven workflows) and Go‑to‑market and Customer Success motions
Ensure Adobe is not just shipping powerful products, but also systematically converting those products. This leader will own the Engineering strategy for CES Growth Apps and partner closely with Product, Design, AI/ML to deliver deeply integrated, user-centric solutions that meet enterprise-grade standards.
The successful leader will:
- Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and creative engineering culture focused on iteration, design excellence, and technical rigor.
- Mentor and grow a world-class team of engineering leaders and ICs, attracting top talent and enabling career development at all levels.
- Serve as a visible thought leader both within Adobe and externally—representing the team at key industry events, conferences, and developer communities.
- Maintain a strong technical grasp of the team’s architecture and engineering decisions; be ready to dive deep and guide high-stakes decisions.
What you will bring:
- 5+ years leading Engineering Directors and Senior Managers in a matrixed, high-growth environment.
- 15+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant leadership of teams building complex, AI-powered web applications at scale.
- Proven success delivering 0→1 product experiences, especially within AI, data platforms, or enterprise SaaS.
- Learning from launching Marketing agents, Ad tech or Sales tech products
- Demonstrated ability to drive user experience excellence through engineering, partnering effectively with product design and research teams.
- Strategic thinking with hands-on technical depth—you can articulate trade-offs, evaluate system architecture, and influence at all levels.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills
- Deft ability to translate complex technical ideas to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Experience influencing between cross-functional teams and collaborating with Product Management Leaders
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field

Expected Pay Range:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $209,300 -- $429,350 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $276,200 - $429,350
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
