Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Principal Info Systems Project Manager – Deployment Project Engineer (26-174) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Located in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential for supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.
This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.
Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a vital component of the Missile Defense System. It serves as an essential operational tool that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, monitor the battle collectively, and dynamically manage networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that deliver an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations at both global and regional scales to improve performance. C2BMC is critical for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.
The Project Engineer will be responsible for working with the Deployment Team (Integrated Fielding Team) leadership, primarily supporting Task Order 06 and assisting with all C2BMC Task Orders. They will manage, coordinate, and oversee the efforts of the cross-Agile Release Train and Cross-Functional Product Team related to current and upcoming C2BMC Spiral releases (software and hardware) deployments.

Essential Functions:
- Will support the planning and execution of technical scope, schedule, and cost inputs for changes, engineering change proposals, and other customer engineering estimate requests
- This individual will support the development of the Task Order IMS objective evidence (schedule), the collection of IMS status accounting, and will assist with cross-spiral de-confliction, cross-functional Area coordination, and schedule/resource issue resolution
- Support presentations and reviews of program performance for internal and customer management
- Support maintaining schedule baseline control processes to enhance schedule integrity
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Project Management, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Proven leadership skills to manage, coordinate, and oversee cross-functional efforts related to both Development and Sustainment lifecycle management, with a focus on Deployment (Install and Integration) activities
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Experience collaborating in a team and foreseeing needs
- Previous experience with development programs and deployment activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Planning, scheduling, project management, earned value management systems (EVMS), systems engineering, software development, and deployment (installation and integration)
- Skilled in developing and managing project teams and schedules
- Experience in development lifecycles and knowledge of spiral development processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, excellent oral and written communication, and a team player capable of multitasking and prioritizing
- Self-starter and problem solver; able to adapt, learn quickly on the job, and take initiative even with vague or limited guidance
- This position supports a dynamic environment driven by real-world events and requires a flexible (agile) mindset
- Experience with Atlassian JIRA in an Agile environment is a plus
- Proven ability to handle a task or issue and resolve it with minimal guidance is a plus

Primary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
