With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Overview

Intuit’s mission is to Power Prosperity Around the World. We do this by bringing products to market that deliver benefits to customers in ways they cannot find anywhere else, with some of the most recognizable brands in the world, including TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, serving 100 million customers globally.

The Intuit FLP (Finance, Legal, and Privacy Tech) team is responsible for building Intuit’s core capabilities surrounding enterprise finance, legal, and privacy applications. Our team owns a series of capabilities that include core finance systems and critical Legal and Privacy workflows. Our stakeholders include Intuit’s finance team, the Legal, Compliance, and Policy Organization (LCPO), segment business unit leaders, and all Intuit employees.

The FLP tech team ensures we are delivering enterprise capabilities needed to support Intuit’s scale and growth while providing a best-in-class employee experience. As Intuit embarks on a platform journey to ensure a seamless customer experience, we are consolidating and standardizing all backend processes onto common capabilities and evaluating vendor capabilities through a rigorous Build vs. Buy strategy.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager for Legal Tech to define the vision and strategy for a domain that has been historically underinvested. This is a foundational role where you will work closely with Intuit’s Legal business teams to transform their digital landscape. You will be the architect of a multi-year roadmap that balances immediate automation (Unified Front Door) with transformational AI-powered innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Define, evangelize, and execute the product vision and 6-quarter roadmap for Legal Technology. Lead the strategy for the Legal tech stack, including lifecycle management and rationalization.
  • Unified Orchestration: Own the roadmap for the "Unified Front Door" (leveraging process orchestrator solutions), centralizing intake from Slack, Email, and Jira into a seamless workspace to reduce manual toil and improve throughput.
  • Build vs. Buy Governance: Evaluate emerging Legal AI vendors against Intuit’s internal "paved roads." Determine when to leverage niche SaaS solutions and when to build scalable internal capabilities.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive the integration and interoperability of the legal tech stack (e.g., Legal Tracker, Ironclad, ServiceNow, Jira) to ensure data flows seamlessly across the ecosystem.
  • Prototyping & AI Innovation: Build prototypes and run pilots for new tools—particularly Generative AI and Knowledge Management Systems —to eliminate repetitive tasks and institutionalize legal expertise.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the primary partner to Legal Practice Groups (Privacy, Corporate Affairs, Litigations, Regulatory, Compliance & Risk, etc.) to gather requirements, conduct user research, and translate insights into high-quality E2E product experiences.
  • Data Stewardship: Partner with data engineering to define the legal data strategy, enabling real-time risk metrics, resource planning, and automated compliance reporting.

Qualifications

  • 10-12+ years of Product Management experience, with a proven track record of leading complex, enterprise-scale digital transformations.
  • Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent work experience is preferred. A background in Legal Operations is a significant plus.
  • Deep Legal Tech Expertise: Familiarity with legal tech stack:
  • Orchestration/Low-Code: Tonkean, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Legal-Specific Tools: Legal Tracker, Ironclad, Exterro.
  • Data & Analytics: Data Lake (AWS, GCP) and BI solutions (Databricks, Qlik).
  • Emerging AI tools in Legal space: E.g. Harvey, Hebbia, Eudia, etc.
  • Deep Legal Domain Expertise: Familiarity with legal workflows such as Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), eDiscovery, Matter Management, Intellectual Property (patents/disclosures), and Marketing Compliance.
  • Senior Staff Level Craft:
  • Strategic Influence: Ability to lead cross-functional groups and influence adjacent roadmaps (e.g., IT, Procurement, Privacy) to deliver ecosystem-wide impact.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of API strategies, low-code orchestration, and AI/ML workflows (Human-in-the-Loop).
  • Analytical Thinking: Skilled at using data to identify bottlenecks (like manual tracking) and proposing scalable, automated solutions.
  • Soft Skills & Leadership:
  • Master Storyteller: Ability to communicate complex ideas and technical innovations to senior executives via compelling narratives.
  • Ambiguity Navigator: Thrives in a "blank slate" environment; self-motivated to change how the Legal organization operates through technology.
  • Facilitative Leadership: Recognized as a great partner who can bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Efficiency: Reduction in manual legal review volume and cycle times (e.g., Marketing Compliance).
  • Rationalization: Successful consolidation of fragmented tools and reduction in duplicative spend.
  • Adoption: High user satisfaction and adoption rates for the "Unified Front Door" and new AI capabilities.
  • Innovation: Successful transition of AI pilots into production-grade enterprise tools.
