We collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Design, AI Science, Marketing and Business Operations teams to drive data-informed decisions through strategic thinking, experimentation, and predictive analytics.
As a senior member of this team, you will uncover actionable insights and deliver recommendations that fuel the growth of one of Intuit's most strategic priorities. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in quantitative analysis, a track record of influencing decisions with data, and a passion for building what's next.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Staff Data Scientist, you will dive deep into data to shape strategic decisions that directly impact product development and Go-to-Market strategies.
- Conceptualize business problems, formulate hypotheses, define key metrics, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Drive strategic insights that shape the future of Intuit Intelligence, impacting millions of small businesses worldwide.
- Develop predictive models, design and interpret complex experiments, and generate customer insights that inform product innovation.
- Build durable customer segmentation frameworks to refine product targeting, positioning, and experience.
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Design and AI leaders to deliver insights that drive strategy and growth.
- Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a curious, proactive data scientist with a strong understanding of customer behavior and a passion for AI-powered product experiences. They actively embrace and build with the latest AI tools — leveraging them to sharpen their own productivity, deepen analytical capabilities, and elevate data fluency across the organization.
- BS or MS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Econometrics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data science or product analytics, with a strong foundation in predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and experimentation.
- Proven ability to formulate data-backed strategies that drive step-function business growth and increase customer benefit.
- Experience designing and interpreting complex experiments beyond traditional A/B testing.
- Track record of building reusable, scalable analytics solutions with a focus on efficiency.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and build cross-functional consensus.
- Adaptable and self-directed, with the ability to thrive independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced SQL and proficiency in visualization tools such as Qlik, Tableau, or Plotly Dash.
- Strong modeling skills using Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Experience with causal inference techniques including propensity score matching, difference-in-differences, and synthetic control methods.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools and emerging technologies to build agentic data solutions, and extract insights from multi-modal data.
