As a Senior Systems Analyst I, you will support Pacific Life’s Consumer Markets Division (CMD) by serving as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams. You will work closely with Product Owners, developers, and quality engineers to analyze business needs, define system requirements, and ensure solutions are clearly understood, feasible, and delivered with high quality.
This role emphasizes hands‑on systems analysis and close collaboration with development teams, with primary ownership at the application or team level.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to analyze business needs and clarify functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and system documentation.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure requirements are technically feasible, well understood, and testable.
- Support solution design discussions by contributing system knowledge, workflow analysis, and integration understanding.
- Document system behaviors, data flows, and dependencies within and across applications.
- Identify requirement gaps, risks, and dependencies early and work with the team to resolve them.
- Support testing and quality efforts by ensuring traceability between requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivered functionality.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate requirements, impacts, and changes clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis practices, documentation standards, and team collaboration.
The Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or technology delivery roles.
- Experience working closely with software development teams in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of application workflows, system integrations, and data-driven processes.
- Familiarity with APIs, data integrations, and modern application architectures.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS preferred) and modern SDLC practices.
- Experience defining clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional teams.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
