As a Senior Systems Analyst II, you will play a critical role in Pacific Life’s growth and long-term success by serving as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams supporting the Consumer Markets Division (CMD). You will work closely with Product Owners, development teams, quality engineers, and architects to analyze complex business needs and translate them into clear, feasible, and high‑quality technical solutions delivered on AWS-based platforms.
This role emphasizes strong collaboration with development teams, deep system and process understanding, and end‑to‑end ownership from concept through production.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to analyze complex business problems and clarify functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear system requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable efficient development and testing.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure requirements are feasible, testable, and aligned with architectural standards.
- Facilitate solution discussions across developers, test engineers, architects, and operations to align on design, integration, and delivery approach.
- Analyze and document system workflows, integrations, data flows, and dependencies across distributed cloud-based systems.
- Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies early and proactively drive resolution across teams.
- Support quality and testing strategy by ensuring traceability between requirements, test coverage, and delivered functionality.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
- Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of analysis practices, documentation standards, and cross‑team collaboration models.
The Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or technology delivery roles within agile environments.
- Proven experience working closely with software development teams on complex, integrated systems.
- Strong understanding of modern application architectures, APIs, data integrations, and cloud-based solutions (AWS preferred).
- Experience defining requirements, acceptance criteria, and solution documentation that support both development and testing.
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and data-driven business processes.
- Working knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across cross‑functional teams.

- Experience in Financial Services, particularly Annuities or Insurance products.
- Experience supporting large-scale, highly integrated enterprise systems.

Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
$124,830.00 - $152,570.00
