About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing our Payment Operations technology landscape. This is more than a development role—it's an opportunity to shape mission-critical systems that support Wires Operations and Payment Investigations, a cornerstone of our global payments infrastructure. From ACH (Automated Clearing House) and Instant Payments to Lockbox and ISO 20022 (International Organization for Standardization) modernization, our Payment Services Operations are at the forefront of innovation and transformation. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate with top-tier engineers, risk and compliance experts, and business leaders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions that impact millions of transactions daily. In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ Years of Pega PRPC (PegaRULES Process Commander) development
- 2+ Years of Oracle PLSQL
- 2+ Years working in an Agile Scrum team
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with Java including automation frameworks such as Selenium
- Hands on usage of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tooling (Jenkins and uDeploy for example)
- Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect) Certification
Job Expectations:
- Ability to work on call as needed
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
