Role summary:
The Director, Technical Program Management leads complex, large-scale technology programs by defining strategic goals, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving end-to-end system solutions. This role ensures alignment of technical design with business objectives while optimizing resources and mitigating risks. The position requires expertise in program planning, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement to deliver measurable outcomes. The director mentors teams, fosters effective communication, and champions continuous improvement to accelerate delivery. This leadership role is critical in advancing innovative technology initiatives that support organizational growth and operational excellence.
About the team:
The Information Security Portfolio team partners across Walmart Global Tech and business units to translate security strategy into disciplined execution. Focused on risk, compliance, and controls, the team ensures strong governance, regulatory alignment, and risk reduction while supporting agile business operations. As part of InfoSec Portfolio Leadership, this role oversees delivery in regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and risk management. The team collaborates closely with engineering, product, legal, audit, and business stakeholders to deliver security outcomes with transparency, accountability, and trust, driving secure and efficient program execution at scale.
What you'll do:

  • Lead and manage large-scale technical programs, defining goals, stage gates, and key deliverables across multiple teams and dependencies.
  • Drive end-to-end system solution design, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical architecture.
  • Identify and resolve program risks, resource constraints, and conflicting priorities to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Establish and improve scalable workflows, processes, and automation to enhance engineering efficiency.
  • Engage stakeholders to secure buy-in, communicate program status, and align cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor team members on best practices in program management, technical design, and problem-solving.
  • Monitor program performance using data-driven insights to optimize outcomes and resource utilization.

What you'll bring:

  • Extensive experience in program and project management, including planning, execution, and risk mitigation for large-scale technical programs.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder engagement to align priorities and secure commitments.
  • Strong expertise in technical design, system architecture, and cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalable, modular solutions.
  • Demonstrated skills in process improvement, automation, and driving operational efficiencies across multiple initiatives.
  • Proficiency in financial management, resource allocation, and navigating complex dependencies within program portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities to influence decisions and drive program success.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...
