The Opportunity

The Architect, Conferencing & Digital Experience Technologies is a technical leader responsible for the strategic design, architectural governance, and lifecycle management of enterprise audiovisual conferencing systems, digital signage platforms, virtual meeting technologies, and streaming solutions. This role ensures consistent, secure, scalable, and high-quality digital collaboration experience across the organization.

The Architect reports directly to the Director of Conferencing & Shared Services and works closely with peer leaders including the Senior Manager of Conferencing, the Manager of Support & Operations, and the Digital Signage Service Lead. The role has no direct reports but drives influence through expertise, cross functional collaboration, and leadership of global initiatives.

What You’ll Work On

Strategic Architecture & Technology Road Mapping

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates multiyear strategic roadmaps for conferencing, streaming, virtual meeting platforms, and digital signage ecosystems.
  • Defines and governs architectural standards, policies, and technical frameworks to ensure consistent implementation across regions and facilities.
  • Advises IT leadership and business stakeholders on emerging technologies and opportunities to improve digital communication, collaboration, and user experience.
  • Ensures all AV and digital experience technologies align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity requirements, and IT operational standards.

Operational Governance & Optimization

  • Establishes standards for AV room design, hardware specifications, virtual meeting platforms, and digital signage systems.
  • Oversees the evaluation, selection, and integration of hardware, software, cloud services, and workflow tools supporting AV operations and digital experiences.
  • Ensures AV operations, workflows, and equipment are optimized for reliability, uptime, and efficient support across global sites.
  • Reviews technology project requests, ensuring alignment with architectural strategy and operational priorities.
  • Ensures AV operations meet performance targets, production goals, and approved budgets.

Cross Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Works closely with the Senior Manager of Conferencing to align strategy with delivery, innovation, and end-user experience improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Support & Operations to ensure architectural integrity is maintained across implementation, support, lifecycle management, and incident response.
  • Partners with the Digital Signage Service Lead to define standards, integrations, and strategic direction of digital signage solutions.
  • Leads significant global or regional initiatives, system upgrades, and platform modernization efforts.
  • Acts as a primary liaison between IT, support teams, business functions, facilities, and external vendors.

Vendor, Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Leads technical negotiations with vendors and solution providers to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and high-quality services.
  • Manages ongoing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with standards, SLAs, and technical requirements.
  • Oversee technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and long-term vendor strategy for conferencing and digital experience systems.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise AV architecture, unified communications, digital signage, or collaboration technologies.
  • Proven ability to architect complex AV and digital communication systems in large global environments.
  • Strong technical expertise with Cisco CVI platforms as well as alternatives such as Cisco Pexip, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms.
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross functional, matrixed environments without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTS‑D, CTS‑I, Microsoft Teams Rooms certifications, or equivalent professional credentials.
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide modernization or standardization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, enterprise architecture methodologies, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AI within the industry.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00
