M365 Platform Owner
The Opportunity:
The M365 Platform Owner will serve as the enterprise-wide steward of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ensuring that our collaboration, productivity, and automation platforms are secure, well‑governed, measurable, and continuously evolving. This role combines product management, technical oversight, and stakeholder engagement to optimize M365 capabilities for the enterprise.
What You'll Work On:
- Own the vision, roadmap, and lifecycle of the Microsoft 365 platform, including Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, and related services
- Partner with Cyber, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Business teams to ensure the platform aligns with company‑wide governance, compliance, and security standards
- Lead adoption strategies and evangelize best practices across business units
- Define and manage platform KPIs, usage insights, and operational performance
- Guide implementation of new capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards
- Oversee M365 service health, incident response coordination, and platform reliability
- Manage licensing strategy, usage optimization, and forecasting
- Serve as thought leader for emerging Microsoft Cloud features, such as Copilot, Purview, or Power Platform
- Support cross‑functional programs, migrations, and tenant-wide initiatives
- Maintain relationships with Microsoft product teams, internal stakeholders, and vendor partners
- Work closely with CIO leadership to establish strategic priorities for the M365 ecosystem
- Collaborate with security, engineering, business, and support teams to solve complex cross‑organizational challenges
- Mentor junior team members within the Technical Product Engineering job family
- Represent the M365 platform in governance forums, architecture boards, and CIO initiative reviews

You Have:
- 10+ years of experience administering or owning Microsoft 365 services, such asTeams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Purview, or Entra ID
- Experience with M365 governance, compliance controls, data protection, and security configurations
- Experience interpreting analytics, telemetry, or platform health dashboards
- Experience with Power Platform, such as Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dataverse
- Ability to work in an agile, iterative environment and translate business needs into technical requirements
- Ability to manage technical products or platforms with cross‑functional impact
- Ability to engage with senior leadership and non‑technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) and Zero Trust implementations
- Experience with DevOps approaches and automation in cloud environments
- Experience leading enterprise change management and adoption programs
- Knowledge of collaboration governance, such as Teams lifecycle, SharePoint architecture, sensitivity labels, DLP, or retention policies
- Microsoft certifications, such as MS-900, MS-700, MS-102, SC-900, or PL‑900

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
